Safety Harbor – a photographer’s dream!
You will love all that Safety Harbor has to offer for backdrops! In downtown Safety Harbor, you can find adorable white picket fences, downtown vibes, a marina, a fountain, gazebo, bold colors, brick paths, boardwalks, and even a small beach! It seriously has it all (If you’re willing to walk a bit).
They did suffer some hurricane damage (fountain and the pier were out of commission last time I went), but there were still endless photo ops to choose from.
And just around the corner is Harborside Chapel and Philippe park! Both tried and true photo gems for family photos, senior pictures and headshots.
1. Downtown Safety Harbor
So much variety!
I have used this spot for the past 4 years to shoot the 8th grade class of Northbay Christian Academy. So you’ll see a lot of young faces in these photos! This spot involves quite a bit of walking, but is worth it for all the variety. After your shoot, be sure to eat and window shop!

2. Harborside Chapel
Charming and Sweet
Harborside boasts an adorable church with that beautiful brown door set against the white and pavers. They also have beautiful tree canopy, perfect for a golden hour family session. Parking is easy and no walking involved. But availability is limited because they book weddings.

3. Philippe Park
for Nature lovers
Low hanging branches and mossy canopy. There’s also some brown stonework and lots of greenery. Even if you don’t choose this for family pictures, be sure to hit up the walking trails sometime! I like this location best in the morning.
