Hey Hey
Family Photography Tarpon Springs
Go Spongers! I am actually 6th generation Tarpon Springs! My hometown has a lot to offer for photography, from the charming downtown to the parks and beach.
Be sure to get some Greek food at Mr. Slouvaki (I can tell you what to order) after our session or some ice cream from Orange Cycle Creamery.
1. Sunset Beach
Family Photos
This beach is small, but less crowded. Parking is free and easy. Last time I was there, there was some grass growing in the sand, so it isn’t as pristine as some of the other big beaches. This featured session was a sunrise session! Less heat and no crowds…and no chance of running out of light!

2. Fred Howard
Park & Beach
Out of all Tampa Bay’s lovely beaches, I probably shoot at this one the most! I love the blue wall (It’s a bathroom, but you can’t tell in photos) and the tall beach grass. What’s fun about this spot is that we can snap a few pics in the park for a nature vibe before hitting the sand. It allows for variety in your gallery as well as extended shooting time cause we can hide in the shade while we wait for glowy beach light.
You ready Freddy?
3. Downtown Tarpon Springs
The Train Station
Love this White Wall (And shade!) contrasted with the green. On the inside is a museum is tons of Tarpon history, including a war memorial to my grandfather! I always pay a visit inside whenever I shoot here (if they are open!), so be sure to pop in to visit this rich history. And this used to be an actual train station too!
Historic Downtown
4. Sponge Docks
And Tarpon Bayou
Most of these next ones were taken at the sponge docks, but I also included some around the bayou and a random rustic wall along the drive.

5. Random Neighborhood
in Tarpon Springs
I can’t even remember the name of this neighborhood, but I can find it if I need it. I love some of these nature backdrops, so I thought it was worth sharing! I just can’t get enough of that tall grass. The soft texture and light color made it feel feminine. This location is best at sunrise.
